well, a charles tolliver double-header is a fine way to hit 500 posts!

the first show, from 1969, is a phenomenal recording.  as someone commented on dime, when it was shared a few years ago,

listening now, great stereo sound, good enough for a commercial release.  sounds fantastic, swings like crazy.

i can say the same right now!  and it goes for the second show, from 1971, which is maybe a lot more “tolliver-ish” (yes. btw, i see that the ’69 show is “all compositions  by charles tolliver), and which i think that i prefer.  i’ve been listening to very little except charles tolliver or the radio (which was sadly lacking any charles tolliver!)
