a fine selection of familiar tunes, something i can listen to again and again, including one of my personal favorites ‘sing, sing, sing’, or as keely smith has it, in what is definitely my favorite version on the eponymous cd, ‘swing, swing, swing’; but the version here was a very pleasant surprise.  crank it up, though, as the recording level is a bit low.

meanwhile, this bright and sunny summer afternoon, i’ve moved on to chicago from the early 1970s… just seemed like that sort of a day.  i played the hell out of chicago live at carnegie hall, once upon a time, which was a truly fine album.
